Tim Larson of Montevideo always knew he was adopted.
Tim Larson of Montevideo always knew he was adopted. He was naturally curious about his biological parents, but it never really was an issue for him, until recently when his own children expressed an interest in learning about their family medical history.
Originally from Clarkfield, Tim grew up on the family farm with his adoptive parents Gilmore and Marilyn Larson and his three sisters.
The Larsons adopted him in June of 1959 when he was six weeks old through Lutheran Social Services in Minneapolis. After Tim, the couple adopted a girl two years younger than him.
After the adoption of those two, Marilyn had two more children and baby girls were added to the growing Larson family. The Larsons now had four children under the age of five.
“I have four kids, and they’re all my kids, no matter how they got here,” said Tim’s father, Gilmore. He is very proud of his family.
