Trinity Lutheran Church has partnered with Woodland Centers to bring the food box concept to town. A food box at its most basic level is a place where people can drop off food which can then be taken by those struggling with hunger issues. On another level, it is about the responsibility of taking care of people in our own community.
Hunger is an unseen epidemic. Our friends, neighbors, and people new to Montevideo may be experiencing hunger, and we may not even be aware of it. Hunger doesn’t care if you are young or old. It doesn’t care if you are educated or not. Hunger doesn’t care if you are employed, unemployed, or retired. Hunger can affect anyone.
