Little Free Libraries are a global phenomenon. The small, front yard book exchanges number 60,000 around the world in 80 countries — from Iceland to Tasmania to Pakistan.
Now, a new Little Free Library at 1207 N. 4th Street in Montevideo will join the movement to share books, bring people together and create communities of readers.
Ellen Moore and Rick Stermer installed the library just a few steps from their front door. Moore explained: “I have seen the libraries in other communities and thought it was a great tool for sharing books while at the same time connecting with neighbors.”
