As buildings like the high school age, normal wear and tear take their toll on the facilities. Routine maintenance becomes not-so-routine when major expenditures are needed.

That being said, if you are a  fan of Montevideo High School sports, you will be pleasantly surprised by some of the changes that have taken place since the summer.

Montevideo School District’s Activities Director Bob Grey has a list of things that need attention, and the list is long. “There are a lot of things that we would like to do. It all comes down to priorities and funding,” he said.

In June, work began on replacing the 20 year old Daktronics scoreboard in the high school gym. The system was so old that Daktonics no longer carried replacement parts, and the district decided to move forward and replace the old system with a brand new, state-of-the-art multi-panel LCD system.
