Being the administrator of a senior living facility is full of challenges, but Tammie Borstad is more than willing to face those challenges. Borstad has been Luther Haven’s administrator since June of this year.

Borstad is originally from Pierre, SD, but over time has come to live in the small community of Montevideo with her husband and four children.

Prior to now, Borstad has lived in Appleton, Renville, and Granite Falls. She was a lab director in Granite Falls for eight years, worked for Renville Health Services for one year, and was a lab technician in Appleton for the past 14 years.

She has her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, got her Master’s Degree for Health Administration from the University of South Dakota, and received her Nursing Home Administration License in August of 2016.

“I’m really excited to start a new chapter in my career,” said Borstad. “I love working with the residents, I never get bored. Working in assisted living can be a challenge in general, but it keeps me on my toes and I’m thrilled to be here. It’s exciting and I can’t wait to start doing my thing.”
