The Montevideo Public School’s School Board meeting was held on Monday evening at 6 p.m. in the District Board Room at the middle school.

The Montevideo Public School’s School Board meeting was held on Monday evening at 6 p.m. in the District Board Room at the middle school.

David VanRavenswaay was hired at a para on Feb. 5, 2018. Resignations for the district include Allison Freiborg as assistant volleyball coach, Jon Dreyer as junior high track and field coach, Eric Anderson as MMS library aide, McKenzie Vandelanotte as an MHS para, Barb Redfield as MMS food service, Ann Hovda as an ALC Special Ed. teacher and Sherry Norby as office manager.

A resolution accepting a monetary, property, goods or services donation was considered. P.E.O. Chapter Q received $350 for Book Buddies, and Community Ed. received $479 from Individuals with Disabilities: Dawson Designated Charities, $500 from Jill and Steve Condon, and $50 from Brookside Manor. They also received $500 from Let’s Go Fishing to go toward 2018 Summer Rec t-shirts. After the discussion, the resolution was adopted.

Dr. Luther Heller gave the Superintendent’s report and discussed upcoming dates for staff meetings.

The board discussed a revision to the Accounting Policies and Procedures manual. Based upon input from their auditors, it is updated every three years. It was updated last year, but due to personnel changes must be updated again. The changes are not substantive and only include changes of names and titles of personnel within the business office. The motion to revise was approved.
