A tour bus has been scheduled to take veterans to the state capital on Monday, March 12, for the Annual Veterans Day on the Hill rally, where they will again campaign for the Montevideo Veterans Home.

The bus will leave the Montevideo American Legion Post 59 at 7:00 a.m. sharp. “It is important that we fill the bus and keep the pressure on for the Veterans Home,” said American Legion  Post Commander Marvin Garbe.

To reserve a seat on the bus, please call Chippewa County VSO Tim Kolhei at 320-269-6419.

Those who are unable to go can still support this effort through a donation. The trip is being financed by the American Legion, VFW, and DAV, but the bus trips cost $1,000 each time they take one of these trips.

Donations can be sent to American Legion Post 59, 613 Legion Drive, Montevideo, MN, 56265. Please make checks payable to American Legion Post 59 and mark them for “bus trip to capital.” Your support is greatly appreciated.
