Refujio Kooky Schorn, aka Refugio Kooky Muniz III, 21, of Montevideo, was sentenced on Tuesday, March 6, to five years of probation for threatening to shoot or kill two individuals at a gas station and four others at a motel in Willmar last May.

According to court documents, Schorn threatened to shoot or kill two people outside of a gas station on May 29, 2017. A surveillance tape showed him gesturing with his hands and acting like he was shooting a gun. After authorities identified him, a notice to arrest him was sent to law enforcement.

On May, 30, the day after the first incident, Schorn was seen knocking on the door of a motel by the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force, and speaking ardently to the people inside the building. The four individuals inside the motel told authorities that Schorn told them he had a .22 pistol and demanded they give him all of their clothes and money, shouting “I don’t wanna kill you.”

All victims involved in both incidents were terrified that Schorn would follow through with his threats.
