Stepping into a new job can be both exciting and nerve wracking. Michelle May has been adjusting quite nicely since taking over the Chippewa County Auditor/Treasurer position after Jon Clauson’s retirement.

When May learned about Clauson’s decision to retire, she had no doubts about applying for the position. “I considered the Auditor/Treasurer position as an expansion of the skills and knowledge I gained as Finance Director for Yellow Medicine County. I saw this as an opportunity to continue what I was doing with some added responsibilities and personal and professional growth opportunities,” she said.
