County Engineer Steve Kubista, along with highway staff Reed Molden and Tony Polzine, met with the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners during the regular board meeting held on Tuesday, March 20. They were there to discuss repairs needed by one of the county’s plow trucks.

 

County Engineer Steve Kubista, along with highway staff Reed Molden and Tony Polzine, met with the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners during the regular board meeting held on Tuesday, March 20. They were there to discuss repairs needed by one of the county’s plow trucks.

After discussing the related costs of repairing the plow truck, the board authorized the purchase of a 2018 Western Star cab and truck chassis at an estimated total cost of $115,000.

The board also discussed the possibility of purchasing additional equipment for the new truck, as well as disposal of the old truck. The board directed staff to research the cost of the additional equipment and the potential salvage price of the old truck.
