The 2018 Montevideo Senior High School spring musical is Rodgers and Hammerstein’s version of the popular story, Cinderella.

The 2018 Montevideo Senior High School spring musical is Rodgers and Hammerstein’s version of the popular story, Cinderella.

The cast consists of about 50 people, with the roles of Cinderella and the Prince played by Elizabeth Padula and Will Bosch.

In addition to the ever popular step mother and sisters played by Giana Peterson, Susannah Wamstad and Hannah Cushing. The high school production will have a pit band again this year, with around 20 instrumentalists.

“This has been a great cast to work with,” said Dan Hampton, director of the musical. “Everyone has been super responsible with their lines and getting onstage when needed. It’s been great.”

Numerous people have helped to make this production happen. With the help of Ralph Heidorn on set construction, Celeste Suter on costumes, Ann Wachtler as stage director and many more, this production is sure to be an unforgettable one.

Cinderella will be the 13th high school musical directed by Dan Hampton.

“Everyone has had a fantastic time with it. We have great casting for the parts and it’s been a lot of fun for the cast members. We hope to see lots of families come out, it’s going to be a great show,” said Hampton.

The performances for Cinderella will be on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14 at 7 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center, with a 3 p.m. matinee performance on Sunday, April 15. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for students. Tickets are available for purchase at the high school, Java River, or from cast members. They will also be available at the door before each performance.
