Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital has selected its new permanent Chief Executive Officer, Brian Lovdahl. He has been in healthcare administration for nearly 15 years and currently works at Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin, Wisc., as the Chief Financial Officer. Lovdahl has been nationally recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the Top 50 Healthcare Executives under 40.
He assisted Western Wisconsin Health in becoming the first rural health clinic in Wisconsin to start offering outpatient behavioral health services, opened 2 satellite clinics, built the Cancer Center of Western Wisconsin, and built a brand-new replacement hospital and clinic.
Lovdahl has extensive experience in physician recruitment, regulatory compliance, contract management, strategic planning, and financial management. Brian grew up in a small farming community in northwest North Dakota. “Healthcare is just as important as the schools and is an essential piece of the community. High-quality and low-cost healthcare is vital to attracting new residents and businesses. We must capitalize on our strengths and recognize our weaknesses in order to thrive. I am excited to be working with such a dedicated and progressive group of staff and board members,” he said.
