The deadline for registering for Summer Rec 2018 is coming up, and classes are filling up quickly.

The Summer Rec program offers opportunities to be a part of numerous sports and activities, such as swim lessons, baseball, softball, gymnastics, soccer, Prairie Fire Theater, a number of sport camps, and much more.

The classes offered have ages ranging from nine months through senior citizens.

“Our youngest offering is Parent & Child Aquatics which starts at nine months, through trips and tours for any age,” said Ashley Liebl, Recreation Coordinator for Community Ed.

Last year, Community Ed has 5,107 participants enrolled in Summer Rec activities, with 850 total sessions and 1,800 hours of programming. Altogether, there were 61,000 participant hours and roughly 25,000 participant contacts made.
