During Applefest on Saturday, Sept. 15, there will be a tribute to Coach Bill Beck for his 37 years of service to the Appleton community.

Beck moved to Appleton 60 years ago where he taught and coached football. At 86 years old he has been retired for 20 years, lives in California  and spends his summers at Otter Tail Lake here in Minnesota. He remained in Appleton for the entirety of his career.

The program will take place at the Appleton ‘52 Wing Auditorium. There are high hopes that the auditorium will be filled with players, cheerleaders, coaches, friends, teachers, spouses, and guests. Beck saw Appleton as a special place to live, work, and grow up, and will be attending the program and reconnecting with the community.
