An election race for Mayor is developing in Appleton, after filings for city and school board came to a close on Aug. 14.

An election race for Mayor is developing in Appleton, after filings for city and school board came to a close on Aug. 14.

Current Mayor Chad Syltie announced his decision to not seek re-election before filings opened, and filing for the position are council member Lindsey Bruer, along with Dan Tosel.

In addition, two council positions are up for election, which are currently held by Lindsey Bruer and David Raddatz. Victoria (Tori) Hammerud, John Droogsma, and Jason Heinecke have all filed to fill the positions thus far.

Raddatz made the decision to also not seek re-election.

Holloway Mayor Brad Oyen filed for re-election, and currently has no opposition. Council members Janet Suckow and Allen Norby have also filed for re-election, and also have no current opposition.

Filing for the Holloway City Clerk’s position is Joann Schliep. Current Clerk Dawn Meyer has chosen not to file for re-election.
