A large group of Montevideo High School students and staff gathered after school last Wednesday to honor the memory of long-time Montevideo teacher Pam Dahl, who unexpectedly passed away on Jan. 2 of this year.

A special poster was unveiled in the hallway outside of the school office which read in both Spanish and English: “Being a good person does not depend on your religion, status in life, race, the color of your  skin, your political views or culture. It depends on how well you treat others.” The saying was originally posted on a sign outside of Dahl’s classroom.

Also present at the unveiling ceremony were several members of Dahl’s family. (Staff photo by Mike Milbrandt)
