The 2018 fall play is none other than the popular story Little Women, written by Louisa May Alcott. This year’s production was adapted from the classic novel by Marisha Chamberlain and is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.

The story of the novel follows the lives of four sisters and their father as the girls transition from childhood to womanhood, along with the challenges they face in their time period (during the Civil War).

The cast is small this year, with 11 cast members in addition to stage and tech crew.

The production will feature six lead roles. The four sisters, Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth will be played by Laura VanRavenswaay Abi Reis, Taylor Schutte and Tatum Christenson. The two male leads are Will Bosch and Jack Churchill, portraying the characters of Theodore Laurence and John Brooke.

Renelle Enevoldsen is directing the production, with Celeste Suter as assistant director. This will be Renelle’s third year with the fall play as its director, and it is her fourth year with the district.
