Not long after midday, Tuesday July 15th, the home of Nathan and Medea Noel at 310 8th Street caught flame. Shortly after receiving the call, Police Officer Chuck Beery and Fire Chief Dave Roelike determined no one was in the house. “No one was inside when we got here, we got the neighbors away,” said Officer Beery.

Officers with the Montevideo Police Department were involved in a 15 minute car chase that began between Fifth and Sixth streets on Canyon Avenue and ended in the middle of a field in Havelock Township, north of Montevideo.
