Parents, children and members of the general public turned out in full force Monday night for the annual Montevideo Lighted Holiday Parade (see page 1B for more photos). After the arrival of Santa Claus by train at the historic railroad depot at the south end of First Street (second photo), people proceeded north up First Street to watch the parade and go to Santa’s workshop at the Montevideo Area Chamber of Commerce office. There Santa greeted children, including (first photo) Haley and Nicole Marshall, of Montevideo. The children received bags of treats from Santa’s helpers before heading home for a good night’s sleep.
