How could the world be better?
What a “call to order” this could be. If we would treat family and those closest to us like we treat total strangers. Charity should be given at home. If we would respect those who live closest to us like we would like to be treated. The golden rule. Do we act other than well when we are tired, hungry, upset or just not thinking? Better we not talk or respond to others than to “cock off” and say the first thing that comes out of our mind. Or worse, act negatively.
Patience is a great virtue and we could practice it much better if we thought about how precious our relationships with others and how the world could improve it if we reacted more slowly and thoughtfully. Patience is a very difficult virtue to grow. I have to pray to God I can act better than I do simply to preserve peace and tranquility in many relationships.
As we honor our people who have passed at Memorial Day please let us try to do better with those we also live with now. The future can get much better if we but act better today and preserve it into our future and with those others we come in contact with. Help us be better and live better to honor all who have passed before us.
