'Twas a glorious St. Paddy's Day

Sure and if the weather wasn’t perfect Wednesday afternoon last week for the annual Montevideo St. Patrick’s Day parade. Sunny skies and mild temperatures brought parade watchers of all ages out in droves.
This year’s parade had 24 entries, including Irish and Norwegian flag bearers, an honest to goodness Irish parade marshal (albeit an Irish Protestant one), St. Patrick himself, an Irish pony, Irish hounds, the renowned Irish Kazoo Band and bagpipers.
Following the parade, celebrants were welcome to go to the VFW Club at Southtown Plaza for refreshments, food and more entertainment.
