- Minnesota River: "The lowest I've ever seen"
- This footage of the Minnesota River during the 2012 drought was taken September 28, 2012 at sites around downtown Granite Falls, Memorial Park and at the Minnesota Falls Dam, which is expected to be removed before the year's end. A number of local old timers have commented that the river is "The lowest I've ever seen it."
