The Montevideo American Legion baseball team hosted Cottonwood last Thursday in the quarter final round of the District 7 Sub-District playoffs.

The Montevideo American Legion baseball team hosted Cottonwood last Thursday in the quarter final round of the District 7 Sub-District playoffs. Although the score was close for most of the game, Cottonwood scored four runs in the top of the seventh to secure the  9-3 win.

Cottonwood’s starting pitcher, Seth Plotz, threw a  complete game and allowed seven hits while striking out seven.

Leading Montevideo at the plate was Jackson Snell, who went 3-for-4 and knocked in two runs. Also getting hits for Monte were Blaine Sederstrom, Tyler Blue, Jake Mundt, and Noah Buseman who hit a double.
