Montevideo alumni Trevor Schulte was recently inducted into the South Dakota State University Hall of Fame. Schulte was a standout pitcher for the Jack Rabbits from 1991-1994.

Schulte compiled a 26-5 career record, which, at the time, included a record 21 consecutive wins.

He was the North Central Conference Pitcher of the year in both 1993 and 1994, and he was a first team All-America selection by the College Baseball Coaches Assoc. in 1993.

Schulte still holds the single-season records for wins (11) and strikeouts (100), both set in 1994. Schulte currently teaches English at Yellow Medicine East in Granite Falls.
