The Montevideo Thunder Hawks girls basketball team hosted the Montevideo Girls Basket≠ball Invite last Wednesday, Dec. 27. Montevideo went 2-0 in the tournament.

The Montevideo Thunder Hawks girls basketball team hosted the Montevideo Girls Basket­ball Invite last Wednesday, Dec. 27. Montevideo went 2-0 in the tournament.

On Wednesday, the Thunder Hawks played Renville County West. The Hawks beat RCW by a score of 76-43.

Monte dominated the Jaguars in the first half, giving up only 11 points and leading 46-11 at half time.

Sydney Zindel and Jasmyn Kronback each had double-doubles on the game. Zindel led all scorers with 24 points, and she grabbed 11 boards. Kronback had 16 points for the game, and also had 11 rebounds.

Also scoring double figures for Monte was Kamren Saue and Livia Gades, who both tallied 11 points each.



In their second game of the tournament, the Hawks battled Central Minnesota Christian School on Thursday evening. The Thunder Hawks defeated CMCS by as score of 42-33.

Monte was led by Kamren Saue who scored 11 points, and Molly Reeves who scored 10 and hit two three pointers.
