The Montevideo Thunder Hawks boys swim and dive team had a busy week last week.

The Montevideo Thunder Hawks boys swim and dive team had a busy week last week. On  Thursday, the team traveled to Hutchinson for a dual meet against the Tigers. The boys swam well, but came up short in a 92.5-84.5 loss.

Individual first place finishers for Monte were Seth Olson in the 50 free and Tyler DeZeeuw in the 100 breaststroke. Monte’s 200 free relay and 400 free relays also finished first.

On Saturday, the Thunder Hawks traveled to Sauk Rapids to compete in the Section 3A True Team Meet. Montevideo placed sixth out of nine teams. Sauk Rapids/Rice won the meet, followed by Hutchinson in second, and the Monticello Magic in third.

Individually, Tyler DeZeeuw won the 100 yard breaststroke and placed third in the 200 IM. The  200 medley relay team of Alex Smith, Owen Strunc, Ibrahim Carson, and Seth Olson won their event, and the 200 free relay team of Seth Olson, Trew Evenson, Ibrahim Carson, and Tyler DeZeeuw placed third.
