The Montevideo Cross Country Invitational was held on Tuesday at The Crossings. The weather was cool and cloudy as nine area teams competed in the event.

The Montevideo Cross Country Invitational was held on Tuesday at The Crossings. The weather was cool and cloudy as nine area teams competed in the event.

For the varsity girls, Southwest Minnesota Christian came in first, followed by Ortonville, Benson/KMS, Montevideo, Yellow Medicine East, and Bold/BLH.

The Thunder Hawks coaches were very happy with the performance of both the girls and boys teams. Co-head coach Jamie Harrington said: We’re really pleased with the continued effort and improvement we’re seeing throughout the team.  It’s really exciting to see kids showing pride in their own progress. We’re trending in the right direction!
