The Montevideo Thunder Hawks volleyball team lost last night in Sauk Centre 3-1 (10-25, 10-25, 30-28, 10-25). As has been the story in each game, by the third set the Thunder Hawks are playing to their full potential. Sustaining that level of play the whole game is the tricky part. Their next game is at home on Thursday Sept. 4 against Melrose Area.

The Montevideo High school Girls Tennis Team began its 2014 fall season in Luverne for matches between Pipestone and Luverne. Monday began with a 4 to 3 victory over Pipestone but finished with a loss to Luverne by the same score.

Its always hard to acknowledge the summer is over. Its time for school. With this August’s cooler temperatures and rainfall, its been even harder (though temps in the mid to upper 80’s are in this weeks forecast).

It was ground hogs day for the Thunder Hawks. As they had done in Paynesville, the T-Hawks swept the team titles at the 3A-12 meet held in Monte on May 22.
