The Montevideo girls basketball team had a .500 week, beating BOLD and losing to New London-Spicer.

Montevideo 51, BOLD 31
The Thunder Hawks heated up from a cold start to beat the visiting Warriors in a game that had significant implications for section tournament seedings.

After going scoreless for the first 6 minutes and 35 seconds and trailing 7-0, Montevideo went on a 24-5 run capped by baskets by Ashley Rodeberg and Amber Barnes.

Karrissa Larson had a double-double for the T-Hawks with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The Wildcats, ranked third in the state in Class AA, put the defensive clamps on the Thunder Hawks in the second half to score a non-conference win Tuesday at New London.

The first half was competitive, with the Wildcats leading by just eight points at halftime, but the T-Hawks could muster just eight second half points.
