Several Montevideans competed in the Green Lake Triathlon at Spicer Sunday. The competition attracted 262 entrants.

Montevideo Senior High School athletes Aaron Erickson, Tyler Gort and Calvin Pender finished eighth out of 36 teams in the sprint relay division. Erickson did a quarter-mile swim, Gort biked 14 miles, and Pender ran 3 miles. Their time was 1 hour, 19 minutes, 21 seconds.

Competing in the longer Olympic Relay were Bill Mickelson and his son, Joey. Their time for the three-quarter mile swim, 28-mile bike and 6-mile run course was 2:56.40.

Eric and Pam Baukol both competed as individuals.
