A total of 61 cars came to Fiesta City Speedway on Friday for season championship night.
Going into the Pure Stock feature, Maria Konold of Clear Lake, S.D., trailed Ross Bjerkeset of Clarkfield by just six points. Konold and Bjerkeset battled side-by-side and swapped the lead during the first half of the race. Konold took the lead for good on lap 5 and went on to win her fourth feature of the season, but Bjerkeset finished second and won the track championship. Kody Jacobson of Wood Lake finished third.
Dustin Zieske of Willmar and Dean Larson of Pennock were tied for the point lead going into the WISSOTA Mod IV feature. Zieske led the feature flag-to-flag as he held off Larson for the track championship and his third win of the season. Tyler Larson of Pennock was third.
Kelly Timm of Hanley Falls led all 15 laps of the WISSOTA Street Stock feature for his second win of the year. Track champion Ben Albertson of Clarkfield was second, with Justin Tammen of Clara City in third place.
Mike Jans of Clarkfield took the lead on the first lap of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature. On lap 7 Jans drove off of turns 3 and 4, which gave the lead to Cory Tammen of Clara City. Tammen went on to win seventh feature of the season and his second straight Super Stock track championship. Jeremy Jerve of Montevideo was second and Zach Schultz of Grove City third.
Marshal Tofte of Madison led Matt Suckow of Appleton by only 2 points heading into the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. Suckow took the lead at the start of the feature. On the last lap, while leading the race, Suckow went off of turns 3 and 4. Brian Haben of Holloway took the lead coming off turn 4 for his sixth win of the year. Tofte won the track championship and finished second. Troy Berends of Montevideo was third.
Corey Nelson of Canby led all 18 laps of the WISSOTA Late Model feature. It was his second win of the year and fourth straight track championship. Kyle Jumbeck of Houston was second and Damin Eilers of Canby finished third.
After the feature races there were four mechanics races. Winners were Jim Ackerman, Pure Stock; Jordan Freese, Street Stock; Lance Bjerkeset, Midwest Modified/Mod IV; and Larry Jans, Street Stock/Super Stock.
