Police Department requests BCA review of investigation
Recent news reports published in an area daily newspaper have led to some speculation in the community regarding an investigation conducted by the Montevideo Police Department into what was deemed to be a suicide in Chinhinta Park in September 2020.

Ah. The joy of sunshine that we have enjoyed the past few days. But wait. We have another nasty storm predicted for next week. Will we ever just get a couple inches of snow without gale force winds and/or dangerously cold temperatures? It must be getting close to state tournament time. That’s my only explanation.


Thunder Hawk boys take on Dawson/Boyd
Last Friday the Thunder Hawk boys varsity basketball team traveled to Dawson to take on the Blackjacks for a 68-78 loss. Leaders in the game included Mason Jerve who scored 27 points with seven rebounds, and two steals, while Devin Ashling added another 14 points with two assists to the team total. One-man show to perform downtown February 24th
MG Bailey, whose first name is Matthew, will be visiting Montevideo to play his live, one-manband music at Talking Waters Brewing Company downtown on Friday, February 24th. Bailey, who hails from Homewood, Illinois, says he was first introduced to playing music as a kid when he was playing saxophone in the school band.

Valentine’s Day happens to be one of those holidays that becomes less exciting once you are an adult with adult children. In my house, not much hoopla surrounds the holiday.
