After Marshall scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, the Thunder Hawks put two runs on the scoreboard in the top of the second when Jaci Clauson led off the inning with a single and Karrissa Larson belted a long home run over the centerfield fence.

But Marshall pitcher Alyssa Netzke retired the next 13 Montevideo hitters and the Tigers increased their lead to 7-2 before the T-Hawks scored a run in the sixth inning on three straight singles by Courtney Schmitt, Emily Johnson and Kayla Berget.

Montevideo finished the season with a record of 7-13.

The Thunder Hawks scored a 9-4 win over Canby/Minneota in a non-conference game here Thursday.

Karrissa Larson cleared the bases with a three-run double to break open a close game in the sixth inning. Larson scored on a single by Becca Pauling, who had a pair of hits and two RBI.

The T-Hawks notched their third win over the Eagles this season in the regular season finale at Lac qui Parle Valley Friday.

Montevideo grabbed a 4-0 lead to start the game on RBI singles by Kayla Berget, Jaci Clauson and Karrissa Larson.

Kelsey Quigley’s single scored Becca Pauling with what proved to be the winning run in the fifth.

Shelby Monahan worked out of a big jam in the seventh inning. A?perfect relay from centerfielder Pauling to shortstop Courtney Schmitt to catcher Berget cut down a runner at the plate, and Monahan got a strikeout with the bases loaded for the final out.
