North Dakota State College of Science dean’s list announced

The North Dakota State College of Science has named 413 students to its fall semester 2021 President’s Honor List. The Honor List recognizes students who have achieved grade point averages of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credits with letter grades. Trig Viessman grew up in the trucking industry, his grandfather Cliff Viessman having started Viessman Trucking which is still owned and operated by family. Having been in that business his whole life, Trig perhaps never imagined years ago that one day he would be the owner, along with wife Sara, of a Vineyard and Bar. Gardening was always a hobby of theirs. “I’ve been really successful in growing, and a buddy of mine from high school that was in winemaking in New York said that I should put in grapevines, so I put in 100 of them and they just grew like wildfire,” Trig says.

“On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee.” Mary, the mother of Jesus, is there along with her Son and His new disciples. On the third day – the creative day in which the Word called forth grapes from the earth. The third day, the day of fulfillment and resurrection. “Destroy this temple and in three days, I will raise it up again.” John uses this account of the wedding in Cana to set the stage for the whole Gospel.

Prairie Five offers tablet lending library to help after pandemic

Shortly after the CO- VID-19 pandemic hit, Prairie Five recognized the need to find a way to make contact more available for older community members who were suffering from a loss of faceto-face contact. “We saw how many activities moved online - church services, medical appointments, presentations, and more and wanted to be sure that the older adults in our fivecounty service area would be able to stay connected with these opportunities, as well as with family and friends,” says Laura Thomas, Prairie Five Community Action Council’s Director of Aging Well.
