City Council: First and third Mondays at 7 p.m., at City Hall, 103 Canton Avenue, Montevideo.
Lions: First and third Mondays at noon at The Rivers, 610 Hwy 212, Montevideo.
Parkinson’s Support & Education Group: Meets the first and third Monday of every month except for July 4 & Sept. 5, from 3:30 - 5 p.m. in the CCMH Ambulance & Training Center 1020 13th Street, Montevideo, across from the Montevideo VA Clinic. If you know anyone who would like to know more about Parkinson’s Disease, or could benefit from additional support, please encourage them to come! Mon., April 16: SMSU Jazz Ensemble Performs - under the direction of Dr. Christ Waage, will perform “Basie and Beyond” at 7:30 p.m. in the SMSU Fine Arts Theatre. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the SMSU Music Program at 507-537-7103.
Mon. April 16: SMSU Visiting Writers Series Reading - Contributors Anthony Neil Smith and Danny Gardner will read from “The Obama Inheritance: Fifteen Stories of Conspiracy Noir” at Noon at the Marshall-Lyon County Library and again at 7 p.m. in Charter Hall 201 at Southwest Minnesota State University. The readings are part of the SMSU Visiting Writers Series. The readings are free and open to the public. Smith and Gardner will have their books available for purchase and signing at both events.
