Gerald (Jerry) Shultz died on January 13, 2023, at his residence in Montevideo at the age of 89.
 Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
 Gerald (Jerry) Shultz was born on February 18, 1933, to the late Reno and Alice (Anderson) Shultz in Grandma’s house in Maynard. He attended rural school for eight years and high school for three years. He entered the Army and earned his GED while in the Army.
 Jerry married Marlys Tebben of Maynard on June 25, 1954. To this union three children were born: Jeryl, Scott and Kevin. Jerry was a truck driver for various companies for over 30 years. He also worked part-time at Wal-Mart in Montevideo, Martin Trucking, Hazel Run and later as a custodian at the Clarkfield Charter School. Marlys died on December 11, 1996. On September 15, 2001, Jerry married Sharon Lynne of Clarkfield.
 Jerry is survived by his son Scott (Shelley) Shultz, Clarkfield; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchilden; two step-sons: Chris Grengs of Connecticut and Jon Grengs, Clarkfield; many step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; a brother DeWayne (Linda) Shultz, Texas; a sister, Donna Long, Cold Spring; and a son-in-law, Howard Martin, Hazel Run.
 He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marlys; second wife, Sharon; son, Kevin Shultz; daughter, Jeryl Martin; and brother-in-law, Darrell Long.
