Jared Benjamin

 Jared Benjamin, 27, of Copperas Cove, Texas and formerly of Montevideo passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at his home. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with fellowship following at the American Legion. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
 Jared Lee Benjamin was born on March 25, 1995, in Temple, Texas and was the son of Jay Benjamin and Julia (Quigley) Walls. He moved to Montevideo when he was only 18 months old and later gained another father, Jeremy Walls when he was still small. Jared was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. He attended school in Montevideo where he was three sport athlete and was on the B honor roll. Jared was a go-getter which was evident in the sports he competed in, cross country, swimming and track.
 Following graduation, Jared attended Ridgewater College in Hutchinson where he received his degree in welding, he furthered his education at Minnesota West College receiving a degree in electricity. He worked out of Watertown, Minn. for the InterStates before moving to Texas about a year ago.
 Jared loved to ride dirt bike and was talented at fixing electrical things. He was always fine tuning the stereo systems on his vehicles to make it play better and louder. His favorite music band was Bassnectar. He would travel all over to attend their concerts. Jared will be remembered for his giving nature, being one to do anything for anybody.
 Jared is survived by his mother, Julia (Jeremy) Walls of Montevideo; father, Jay Benjamin of Copperas Cove; grandfather, Richard Quigley of Watson; grandmother, Darlene Quigley of Montevideo; siblings, Jay Benjamin of Sacred Heart, Christian “Riley” Walls of Montevideo, Kyra Walls of Montevideo; Olyvia Walls of French Lick, Ind., Jeremy Walls of French Lick; niece and nephews, Ivy Ward, Jacob Richmond, Owen Richmond; aunts and uncles, Nick (Debbie) Quigley of Montevideo, Ryan (Nichelle) Quigley of Montevideo, Sarah (Kevin) Norman of Watson, Nathan Quigley of Montevideo, Kathy (Andrew) Abrams of Las Vegas, Nev., Jerilyn (Chuck) Duncan of Copperas Cove, Jodi Benjamin of Copperas Cove; as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends.
 Jared is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marcia Benjamin, Jerry Benjamin, Estella Korstad.
