The Montevideo Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it has hired Angel Molden to the position of executive director. Molden takes over from the previous director, Emily Sumner.
Molden, who grew up on a farm near Big Bend, previously worked as a nurse at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital, as a nurse at the clinic, and in the IT department of the hospital, where she was the lead support for clinic users.
Molden is looking forward to her new job. “I’m very excited to be a part of this team,” she said.
Molden is very involved in her church, Watson Lutheran, where she teaches Sunday school. She is also still involved with Fiesta Days, which she has organized for the last 11 years.
Molden brings a positive, up-beat attitude to the executive director position. “I hope to expand on what is currently happening in the chamber, and to focus on recruiting and retaining members,” she said.
