McKensie Vandelnotte has been dancing since she was three years old through a community recreation program. She started dancing for Just For Kix when she was in fourth grade, was a part of the dance team throughout high school, and was involved in the Southwest School of Dance in Marshall.
She is originally from Marshall, and moved to Aberdeen, SD a few years after graduating in 2004. There she coached for a dance school, until her and her husband moved to Brandon, SD in 2011.
In Brandon, she was able to start coaching for the Just For Kix program, in which she coached there for four years.
When her husband went through a career change, they moved to Montevideo, and have been here since May of 2015.
Vandelnotte is one of the dance coaches for the Montevideo Gold Dusters.
“I am so thankful to be a part of the dance program with the other coaches. They are all such wonderful ladies, and I cannot express how much of a family they are to me,” said Vandelnotte.
