This past Saturday, eight former Montevideo High School athletes and one retired teacher were inducted into the Montevideo Athletic Hall of Fame.

The event was held at the historic Hollywood Theater in downtown Montevideo. The inductees and their guests were treated to a delicious catered meal by Trish’s Catering of Clara City. The induction ceremony itself took place after the meal.

Since 1967, only 62 people have been inducted into Monte’s hall of fame. The first athlete inducted in 1967 was Harry “Cap” Holzer who graduated in 1919.
