Patrons and employees of Java River were startled by a loud noise on Friday morning. The noise they heard was the sound of a pickup truck crashing into the building. The pickup jumped the curb when the driver accidently accelerated as he pulled into a parking space. No one was injured in the shop, and the driver of the pickup was not injured. The building itself sustained moderate damage, but Java River remains open. The Montevideo Police Department investigated the accident. (Staff photo by Mike Milbrandt)
