Established business owners Everett Bain and Cynthia Wing-Bain sold their family business, Wing-Bain Funeral Home to a new couple wanting to come “back home.” April has marked a new beginning for Duane and Sherri Stamps as they move to the helm to serve local families.
Everett Bain has served local communities for over 45 years as a trusted funeral director and will continue to do so, along with Joe Anderson, who also has been assisting those in need for over 25 years. Everett says, “I am excited and look forward to assisting Sherri in continuing the traditions of Wing-Bain Funeral Homes. I also want to emphasize that I have no plans for retirement, I am committed to many more years of dedicated service.” Sherri (nee Clausen) Stamps, a licensed funeral director who was born in Dawson feels like she is coming home. Sherri, her husband, Duane, and two elementary school aged children are moving from Glencoe, Minnesota where Sherri managed three funeral homes and truly loved serving a rural community where neighbors are your friends. “Our family is super excited to become reacquainted with the community. It is a humbling privilege to walk alongside those that are grieving and provide guidance in a dark time. The Bains have earned the trust of many and it is our goal to continue that legacy by giving the very best that the community deserves.”
