The Chippewa County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018 at 9 a.m. at the Courthouse in Montevideo.

 

The Chippewa County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018 at 9 a.m. at the Courthouse in Montevideo. Commissioners present were David Nordaune, Matt Gilbertson, Jim Dahlvang, David Lieser, and Commissioner Jeffrey Lopez.

First before the board were County Attorney David Gilbertson and Victim Witness Director Denise Loy who presented an overview of the Victim Witness program, to which the board then requested that Loy report updates about the program to the board on an annual basis.

Gilbertson then provided a written report of the activities of his office, as well as updated the board on court trials and investigations conducted during the month of November 2018.

Next the commissioners gave reports on the various committee meetings attended and described special developments that occurred during November.

The board discussed the following items on the consent agenda:

The minutes of the November 20 meeting, as well as the date for the next meeting on Dec. 18 at 1:30 p.m. Also discussed was the addition of Jeffrey Eickhoff to the County Credit Card Policy, in addition to the approval of the Hinterland Vineyards LLC On-Sale Liquor License.

All items on the consent agenda were approved.
