Mildred Severson, of Montevideo, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 at CCM Health in Montevideo at the age of 92.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo.
Visitation was held Monday, December 30, 2019 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Mildred (Paulsrud) Severson was born on April 3, 1927 in Grace Township, Chippewa County to Andrew and Ida (Christensen) Paulsrud. She was baptized on May 30, 1927 and confirmed on June 15, 1941 at Jevnaker Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo and attended school in Benson, MN. Following her graduation from Benson High School, Mildred attended St. Cloud Beauty School and was a beautician for a short period of time before working as a bookkeeper at First National Bank for a number of years. She met Roland Severson while working at the bank and they were united in marriage on September 26, 1964 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Mildred was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church where she was active with the Martha Circle. She enjoyed baking, gardening, doing puzzles, playing cards, and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
Mildred is survived by her children: James Severson of Alexandria, VA and Janna (Mark) Kovach of Lakeville, MN; and two step-grandchildren: Dustin and Courtney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland; brother, Ivar; sisters: Amanda, Inez, Pearl, Aster and infant sister; and sister-in-law; Loraine Lien.
