Veterans unite

At the Veterans Rally for the Montevideo Area Veterans Home I stated that I would let you all know when the time is right to contact your legislatures.    Now is the TIME:

There are two key members to contact.  Please write them why you support the Veterans Home.  It does not have to be a lengthy letter. A few sentences will be sufficient.  But I stress, write a letter, not email as they get too many this time of year and they do not always read, but are reviewed by staff.

These are the two individuals you must write to.  Make sure to include your name, address, and phone number. Use the proper salutation to begin your letters:  “Dear Representative Urdahl” and “Dear Senator Senjem.”

The Honorable David H. Senjem

Please do not put this off; it must be done within the next two weeks.  Our Veterans have supported you, now they need your support. Thank You and God Bless America

Your best self

Doing your best could be the resolve of the 2018 lenten season. We have the great capacity to do so much more than we normally do. The average person only uses two to five percent of their real capacity. That should open our eyes. There are some things that always distract or completely derail our best efforts. We tend to start strong and become forgetful or lazy. We don’t stay motivated on a long-term basis. If we told others of our plans and asked them to check in on us to-help us with our motivation.

Distractions. Too many things gnaw at our time and we become derailed and then disillusioned that we’ve let ourselves down. Without a partner or invested other party, we just give up.

Make a workable, doable plan. Check your resolve to do the plan. Tell significant others about the plan and what you hope to have happen. Give yourself some reward on the way to the goal regularly. Celebrate the good you hope to accomplish. Bless you in your efforts to help others or improve yourself or your relationships.
