Montevideo City Council votes to pursue removing Carnegie Library from National Historic Register
At last week’s meeting of the Montevideo City Council, one of the topics of discussion was the future of the Carnegie Library building. The extensive discussion about the building’s condition, financial feasibility and its future resulted in the council voting to pursue removal of the building from the National Historic Register.
