Growing Local: Emerging leaders graduates first cohort
Southwest Initiative Foundation’s Growing Local: Emerging Leaders program recently graduated its first cohort of 14 participants.

On October 24th, the Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota will be hosting a lunch and casual conversation featuring the Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship Program at Falls Cafe & Canoe in downtown Granite Falls.

Yellow Medicine County Veterans Services updates given at Board Meeting
At Tuesday morning’s regular meeting of the Yellow Medicine County Board of Commissioners, Veterans Services Officer Kris Holien was in attendance to provide a quarterly update on the department’s happenings.In his report, Holien noted that the Department of Veterans Affairs has released their annual Distribution Expenditure Report for 2022 showing an expenditure of just over $9.9 million in total for Yellow Medicine County’s Veterans.

On October 15th, Florence Chard Dacey will be holding a reading of poetry from her latest book, “The Mercy of Stone, Poems from Fifty Years” at the Granite Area Arts Council.
