Folsom Prison Experience features music of Johnny Cash June 24 in Dawson

Dawson-Boyd Arts Association announces that tickets are now on sale for the Riverfest Weekend show, Folsom Prison Experience, at Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, June 24 at 7:00 pm. Described as “an immersive tribute drama,” Folsom Prison Experience is a musical that merges live concert, stage drama, audience participation and interactive theater. The show recreates one of the most important days in Johnny Cash’s storied musical career - January 13, 1968 – when he and his entourage put on two shows for the inmates of California’s Folsom Prison.

Copper Street Brass – “That ‘70s Show”

Copper Street Brass is a Minneapolis-based sextet composed of two trumpets, trombone, tuba, French horn and percussion with several members doubling on keyboard, percussion, guitars and electric instruments.

Wrede returns to Montevideo

Brady Wrede, a musician out of Sioux Falls, So. Dak., performing his original song Where the River Meets the Road at Talking Waters Brewery on Thursday, May 4th. Wrede played the area last spring and said he’s always happy to return to the area to perform for the community.
