MSU student seeking local stories about 9/11 impact

Jack Baumbach, a Minnesota State University student, and Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum Intern has been working on research for a book project the museum is planning to publish this summer/ fall that will be a retrospective book on Minnesota’s involvement in 9/11 and the War on Terror.

District Eight receives $4.4 million dollar federal award to improve safety

The Minnesota Department of Transportation - District 8 is receiving a $2.5 million dollar federal award to improve safety at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 9 in New London and a $1.9 million dollar award to install rumble strips on state highways throughout District 8. The funding is made possible through the Highway Safety Improvement Program, also known as HSIP.

Council hears report from Milwaukee Road Heritage Center

Despite last Tuesday’s snowy weather, the members of the Montevideo City Council that could make it to the meeting held the regular meeting, while having to adjust the agenda to suit not having enough members to vote on resolutions.

Montevideo graduate appointed to board of directors

On February 3rd, the American Public Power Association (APPA) appointed Rodney Bourne, PE to the Board of Directors of their Demonstration of Energy and Efficiency Development Program (DEED). Bourne is a 1984 graduate of Montevideo High School.

East Medicine Pheasants Forever receives National Award

Police Department requests BCA review investigation
