Community invited to attend listening sessions on school facilities
On Thursday, October 20th and Friday, October 21st, the Montevideo School District is hosting listening sessions titled “Stop, Look and Listen”. The first, on Thursday will be held at the Montevideo High School at 6 p.m., and Friday’s session will be held at the Montevideo Community Center at 10 a.m.

Mild temps ahead for the weekend
My wife and I made a trip up north to see Michael Bolton at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Onamia on Saturday. We witnessed all the fall colors along the way. Some areas were very vibrant still, but other areas have seen their peak for the season.
Food shelf fundraising concert at Hawk Creek Lutheran
The Woodbury Chorus and Orchestra, under the direction of Cindy Martinson, will present a fundraising concert to benefit the Neighbors United Resource Center Food Shelf. Titled “A Celebration of Life”, this program of uplifting choral and orchestral music will include a variety of pieces, ranging from “Joyful, Joyful” from the film Sister Act Two, to the acclaimed “Indodana”, along with “Swing Low/ Swing Down Chariot” by the men singers, “Arise my Soul, Arise” by the women, the first movement of Dan Forrest’s “Jubilate Deo”, Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” and more.

Minnesota State Community and Technical College has been chosen as the new host of the West Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center for a threeyear period beginning January 1, 2023.
